Hi guys, my condolences re Wilf. I was pleased that he was so vocal in the pod recording just before he died; that was special! I wanted to share Grace Campbell's anecdote and appearance on 'Alan Davies As Yet Untitled', not because I'm a massive defender of her but it was interesting to me! She's obviously playing her comedic character, so pinch of salt and all that. Thanks for answering my Gloves Out/Sometimes, Always, Never query! Be warned, I don't know what the deal is with The Battle of Algiers upload on YouTube but the film is not 71 minutes long. It is in fact 2 hours (theatrical cut) and 136 minutes on its original format

The listeners will all miss Wilf. So sorry. He had a good life. Wes Streeting 🤮 Ugly bastard inside and out. Great conversation. Bang on re Your Party, Miller, Lansmen etc etc I spoke once to Gaddafi's female body guards in bad Arabic in a Ugandan hotel while he rested on a chaise longue. Beautiful and young yes but also strong, intelligent and with attitude. Gaddafi had come out unexpectedly on the balcony to waive earlier to all the guests flanked by men in dark shades. Ugandans and other Africans were so excited while westerners at the hotel didn't even notice and carried on swimming or whatever they were doing. My Tanzanian work colleague had studied in Libya and was delighted to recognise one of his male security body guards so we had a student reunion and chat. Often wonder what became of him and the women. How Gaddafi was hunted down and murdered was haunting. However dictatorial these leaders were they led secular countries where women had power and there was a degree of control over resources. I think most people in the region would choose that over the hell of failed states caused by western interference.
