and for those following the story, i've decided i'll be using Rome and Trina to chronicle the time skipping until my next series. since they're the only couple that survived, i feel like it only makes sense lol. tbh they were lucky they were too new to have real problems yet.
basically put, the next series takes place 4 yrs after the original DoRo storyline, and lands on the last semester of college for my main cast that actually attended college (Kino, Lars, Penelope, Jazmin and Arron). tbh i'm disinterested in filming any extra scenes that involve school-- college or otherwise-- so i jumped forward a little further.
if i'm being honest, Kino, Lars, and Arron are locked into school anyway for their individual reasons so there wouldn't be much story there anyway. i guess if you wanna count Kala sleeping her way through town but that can be explored later too (because she's still whoring around).
this short with Rome/Trina takes place a few weeks after the finale, then the one after that should jump forward a couple years. not sure yet, but it'll make sense when i'm done scripting it.
their dialogue in this short felt extremely personal to me, like most of my writing is. as you all know, i'm incapable of truly "making stuff up" so it all comes from my own personal experience.
i spent some time resenting Rome bc of my attachment to Sato, but i think i've matured and i'm ready to tackle his lore with care (and less bias). i hope you can feel my energy, even when i accidentally tried to bury it. Rome's scars were intentional, they are not for show. i always wanted an outlet- a safe space to talk about it in a world i control. i dont take that lightly.

I love how the couples are equally "loving" and "supportive," yet they're all different. They all have their own dynamic and demons. I'm curious to see how they've grown (or not. I'm lookin' at you, Kala) and what they're up to. If they've started new relationships (Oh my heart😭) or solely focus on personal growth. Plus, it's gonna be wild to see them outside of school. I'm so hyped for the next series.
