After rendering the Tier 3 Widowmaker video for a couple of days, my pc overheated and is now restarting or freezing every few minutes... I'm back on my old pc, until it is fixed.
I'll probably release some videos with less realistic models.

Yeah, I've tried that. Also dedusted everything and cleaned it. Didn't open the gpu, because it's still under warranty. I'm only speculating, that the cause was overheating, but parts of the mobo are idling at 82+°C (176+ F). If it's a software problem, it must be a good one, because it is freezing on a fresh install and in safemode. At least it didn't freeze in bios... Yet.. lol

Fun, have you tried reseating everything and repasting the CPU? You could also try and lower frequencies manually a little and see if that makes it stable enough to run permanently again, albeit a little slower. Overheating shouldn't cause permanent damage unless you managed to get the magic smoke to appear from a part.
