I owed you all a follow up to my nervous/anxious posts last night so here's the Earl Grey:
-I'm staying on OF until they cut me off, which isn't likely to happen soon, but some shit had me alarmed last night
-*I forgot to hit on this in the video* but if you look at the Twitter account for this site, they're so good at promoting their creators... who aren't adult performers. You know, the people who made it a meme and a household name. Which always has me worried that they're preparing to boot us off the site to hedge their bets in mainstream.
-There was some gossip that creators on the site might be screwed based on some unsubstantiated speculation about the owners of this platform
-A lot of performers got scared about it and amplified the discussion
-An article was published today in a news blog with an alarmist headline and flaccid "proof" that anything big is happening this week that would lend credence to the scary messaging we were seeing

In conclusion: things are not likely as dire as the gossip mill had us all believing yesterday. There are some shitty situations a small number of people are working through, but overall we are probably fine FOR NOW. But it's always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to being a sex worker, because deplatforming us seems to be a rite of passage for most tech companies.
