Painting at this point. This is quite a tricky lighting scheme, but pushing yourself outside your safety zone is the only way to learn.

I probably spend more time fiddling with images at this stage, trying to get perspective right and just staring at the picture, than actually coloring it. I need to learn to work past it.

Did some last details to the image, mostly accentuating a few edges, tonal corrections and things like that.

Refining character and making sure anatomy is correct, plus making a few changes the commissioner requested.

And this is what I got back, all 3D modeled and wearing such a nice shiny... harness... :)

Second YCH won by Thrack. At this point Fobo and I had both roughly sketched out the character's features, etc. Then off to Fobo for some 3D blessing.

Then Magic happened and this is the result. :)

Added torch, changed leash to chain leash and started painting the figure in.

Added some lighting and background elements, plus flipped and cropped the image because I think it looks better this way.
