Arn Alone Sword Hilt Held
Chapter 57 is done. Included 4 lines from the song Arn of Old in this one, which had to be written first - took me an hour and a half. I have a tendency to make things harder for myself, apparently.
Highland Hospitality
Chapter 56 is in the bag.
The Price of Bread
Chapter 55 is done, first chapter of the 7th chronicle. I don't know how long this chronicle will be, but probably not too long. Depending on how much I stuff into it, we might be 15 chapters away from a finished draft of the sequel.
Adeline
Chapter 54 rounds out the sixth chronicle and our adventures in Ealond. Onwards to the seventh, which takes us to Heohlond and Adalrik.
Hraban
Sunday's going smoothly with chapter 53 done. A short one, as was the one before and probably the next to come. All three are climactic for this chronicle though, so what they lack in length, I hope they make up for in action. One more chapter to go, and this chronicle is done.
Blood, Water, and Wine
Chapter 52 is done.
Veiled Chains
Been travelling for a while, thus delaying my writing, but chapter 50 is done.
Court, Keep, and Castle
AKA alliterations are awesome. Chapter 49 is done.
The Heretic
is a less dangerous man - possibly. Chapter 48 is complete.
The Justiciar
is a dangerous man to cross. He and chapter 47 are now part of the story.
The Raven's Shadow Falls
Chapter 46 is done, the first one in the 6th chronicle. It usually takes me a long time to transition into writing a new chronicle, at least when set in a new location like here, but I'm getting better at staying focused.
The Last Atheling
Chapter 45 is done. This concludes the 5th chronicle. A little breather, and then onwards to the 6th.
Blighting the Song
is a bad, bad thing. Chapter 44 is done.
A Bloody Mark
or The New Adventures of Kate and Egil, chapter 43, is done.
The Wolves of Isarn
don't howl, but they do bite. Chapter 42 bites the dust.
Knives at Night
Hm, a lot of these chapter titles are violent. Anyway, chapter 41 is done.
The Solace of Spring
Or in other words, chapter 40 is done. Slowly approaching the end of this chronicle.
Flour and Turnip
a.k.a. chapter 39 is complete.
Master and Thane
are up to no good. Chapter 38 is done.
Descent
... into madness. Or is it darkness? Can never tell which -ness to use. Chapter 37 is done!
No Greater Honour
... than finishing a chapter! 36 is done.
When the Raven Calls
... you better be home, else he is gonna leave with the package. Chapter 35 is done.
Who We Are
Chapter 34 is done. The insignificance of its title is inversely proportional to how much I enjoyed writing it. I know a chapter is coming up soon that I will probably enjoy more, but so far, this one is among my absolute favourites for this book.
Brothers Three
33 is done. This one had a scene I have imagined for a while and enjoyed writing a lot. Even more of such scenes coming up in the next couple of chapters, including one that will be among my favourites of this entire book.
Snake Pit
Some four hours later, chapter 32 is done. Time to call it a night.
Joining the Play
Another chapter written in one day, and a slightly longer one at that. Evening is still young, we may take a crack at the next one.
Playing Blind
Chapter 30 is done. Got the next 6-7 chapters planned out; think we got about 14-15 in total left, and this chronicle is done.
Slow March
Chapter 29 is done, another short one. The slow march towards completion continues.
A Bloody Welcome
Chapter 28 is done. It was a bloody one.
Seal and Sign
27 is done. I think my spree of one chapter per day is over for now, but it was nice while it lasted. Think I am maybe 1/3 through this chronicle.
