Feather (animation pencil test)
All the lineart is officially done for Feather; the longest animation I’ve ever worked on. Next will be inking and painting. It will be an enormous task, but I’m up for it!
Talk to the Foot
This is my dragon Isaiah. Also, this is his foot!
Say Hello!
My second vintage animation! Joey tries to approach Traci to say ”hi” but startled him a bit xDI give thanks to Teono the Fox for doing the voices :)Happy new year to all of you!!
Try Some
Christian approaches Lucas, the manager of the nudist village, and encourages him to give a drink a try. Lucas however isn’t much a drinker, so he’s not too enthusiastic about the offer :P
Pageant
Poor Traci, Joey managed to convince him to join a male beauty pageant! He isn’t used to so much attention but he’s still flattered! Also Joey can’t seem to hold back his enthusiasm for how attractive he finds Traci, confusing those around him, wondering why he’s not judging the ladies :P
Say Hello WIP
See attachment! Now onto the coloring :)
Christmas Avatar 2020!
Keeping up the tradition 10 years and counting!
Rena
My brother was watching one of the Digimon movies yesterday, motivated me to draw Renamon again! This makes me wish she had her own comic series x3
Quick Attack!
How Lori feels whenever she sees Mr. McCarson, her history teacher. Poor Bassil, he’s so embarrassed!
Gader Family
I just felt it was time to finally show the entire family all at once, and confirm their ages and finalize their outfits!Stevie is the smallest, so he’s on his toes, puffing up his chest, trying to look bigger! Shawn you all know, he’s got a good relationship with his older brother. Dad had a st...
Conchas
Sort of made this as a celebratory piece for whats happened in the past 24 hours, considering how anti-Mexican our current president was. Christian is Mexican, and I’m half Mexican, so we celebrate with Mexican characters and foods x3ALSO the art under my new sfw brand will still be sexy/gay theme...
Astro Fighter
Commission for Alex the Horse!
Show Some Feather
Finally it is done! Joey is just going to his next class, when suddenly that crow boy he has a crush on showed off some of his chest floof to him! He was expecting to Joey to be jealous but, he ended up being quite aroused. Too much for his little mind to handle x3Also this this the animation that c...
My First Cels
For my next animation, parts of it will use traditional animation cels. Here are those frames as they look before being scanned. Never have I ever been so happy with something I created. I swear I almost cried because I was so happy I brought traditional animation back. Cels just look so gorgeous in...
Goodnight Joey
Christian gives Joey proper goodnight kisses every night. He kneels down at his bedside, they chat for a few minutes, then right before lights out, he kisses Joey on the forehead, usually 5 or 6 kisses in really fast succession. Joey is 15, but doesn’t mind being treated like a child. He hardly ha...
Isaiah
After more practicing, I feel more comfortable than ever with this new style. I think I will keep it exclusive to my dragons world, since each setting I have seems to have its own style :)
Isaiah Run
Just Isaiah out working his muscles! My dragons have a human figure, but can run on all fours if they want. Much faster than on twos :)
Anubis Approves
Drawn in just 65 minutes! Just a quick response to a pic on twitter:https://twitter.com/samareck/status/1298596664685420544?s=21
What’s your opinion on a character being a smoker?
I’m not a smoker myself, so sometimes I feel unsure about showing a character holding a cigarette, even though I add it just to add something to their personality. But I wanted you guy‘s input. What do you think?
Vintage Filter Test
(I don’t smoke or indorse smoking)I’ve been wanting to have a proper vintage film filter suitable for a 1970s cartoon; and after searching and searching, and finally decided that I needed to create my own. No existing filter that I know of has the perfect amount of grain, dust, jitter, and chrom...
Cherub
Commission for FatherofGray! this was an interesting challenge, glad I could help them out for creating this represent for them :)
Dinosaur Jack
This guy was a mascot, (or more like the literal shape of the building) of Dinosaur Jack’s Sunglass Shack at California Adventure from 2001 to 2009. Decided to give him a draw as a speed paint test; finished him in 1 hour and 35 minutes :D
Lineart Study for Dark Characters
Something I notice with dark objects in comics, is that they’re often colored completly black in the lineart stage. I was thinking I should do that as well. I like using the current dark brown I have now in place of black, but then that means I don’t have a dark brown. So I’ll stick with this f...
Marc + Alice
I’d love to start making actual comics with this style :3Also I’ve shown these two before, but I decided to rename them since their previous names were already a thing. They are now named after Marc and Alice Davis, the Disney Imagineers that originally created them :)
STAY AWAY
I bought Colorlab by RetroSupply, (not sponsored!) It’s a brush set that was designed specifically for a vintage comic look. It makes things so much easier!
Reward for Otter Butter
Based on a AI-generated portrait from https://thisfursonadoesnotexist.com a pretty cool (and weird) site^^thanks for supporting :)
Waffle House Record
”I’ve created a monster.”Commission for Alex the Horse, based on a conversation he had with a friend :)Also I created my own paper texture for this; it’s the full resolution and it’s got those little colorful strings in it! I think I will draw different strings for each artwork I do^^
Star Fox Poster Sketch
Sketch for a possible future painting! When I was young and going through depression, I had a crush on Falco and Fox. Since then, I haven’t thought about them much until now, when I started watching a play though of Star Fox 64. I’m discovering them at their original source for the first time. T...
A Better Toucan
Recently, Toucan Sam’s designed got turned into a CalArts abomination. I felt I could do a better job.I think having an identity in your art style is more important than blending in with every one else.
